Joe conducted and orchestrated
Steve Sandberg's opening sequence for Nickelodeon's
Dora, The Explorer Special Episode:
"Dora Saves The Snow Princess"
Joe's music can be heard on "EXPLORING MUSIC" on WQXR (105.9 FM) New York's premier classical music radio station hosted by Bill McGlaughlin.

He recently composed the score for the animated short film "KITE" and is completing his ELEGY for Solo Cello and String Orchestra. He has been teaching orchestration at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College.

Joe is currently composing the incidental music score for
Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Wlliams for the White Horse Theater Company where he is the resident composer.

Joe composed incidental music for the off-broadway productions of
Small Craft Warnings, In The Bar Of A Tokyo Hotel, Clothes For A Summer Hotel and The Rose Tatoo by Tennessee Williams, The Book Of Lambert by Leslie Lee and Henrick Ibsen's Little Eyolf.

Joe Gianono plays guitar with his own trio
, the Abe Silverman Big Band and has played with the Andy Farber Big Band featuring Hilary Kole at BIRDLAND.
